Maid sentenced to 40 years in prison over child torture.

Precious Tumuheirwe, a maid who was filmed in a sickening clip torturing a four-year-old child in the bathroom has been remanded to Luzira Prison.

The 35-year-old was arraigned in Kira Magistrates Court before Chief Magistrate, Her Worship Shallon Niwaha, and pleaded guilty to the charges that were read to her.

This follows a viral clip that circulated on December 27, 2024, when the incident took place at Kikoko Zone, Namataba Cell, Kirinya Ward, Wakiso District.

Tumuheirwe was a maid at Mike Mwesigwa’s home who had separated from his wife years ago.

Now, she was charged with aggravated torture and sentenced to 40 years imprisonment. She was last week arrested in Kabale District in Southern Uganda where she had fled after her torture clip went viral online.
